I honestly cannot wait to share this White Sparrow Barn wedding in with ya’ll! Not only did we get to work with Rachel who is both beautiful inside and out & her sweet husband Cord, but it was even published in "Brides of North Texas Magazine" for their 2017 Fall/Winter issue!! (How exciting is that!?!) See the article and other published weddings here.
I first met with Rachel & her mother Marsha at a Coffee Shop in Dallas, TX and quickly realized she was going to be one of nicest brides I have gotten the pleasure to work with. Not only was she a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader, but she was also a caring individual who loves doing volunteer work! (I mean I seriously need to step it up right!? Lol) I remember at our first meeting we discussed their concerns with the planning process and overall design, and how they quickly realized they might need more help with planning and design than they initially thought. And believe me, I was glad to step in!
The first thing on our list was to find a venue and set a date, and we quickly realized that the White Sparrow Barn would be the perfect romantic venue for their wedding. They fell in love with the White Sparrow’s all white interior, large windows, and beautiful outdoor ceremony area, and after booking the majority of their vendors, we began the design phase of planning. I wanted to create a design that not only reflected Rachel’s style but also had a French concept, as a result, we decided on a beautiful dusty blue, gold, and blush color scheme that was perfectly accented by the venues white interior!
WHITE SPARROW BARN WEDDING - CEREMONY
Rachel & Cord got married outside in front of two large trees with lanterns hanging at different heights at the White Sparrow Barn. The bridesmaids wore dusty blue long bridesmaid dresses, and the groomsmen wore black suites with brown shoes, while ceremony musician played music as they walked down the aisle. It was the perfect setting for this elegant vintage wedding ceremony!
After the ceremony as the couple took pictures, the guests found their name on the large dusty blue seating chart in the White Sparrow’s foyer and signed a picture book of the couple.
WHITE SPARROW BARN WEDDING - RECEPTION
The reception was held in the interior barn at White Sparrow Barn, and it was a gorgeous sight to see! As soon as guests walked into the reception, they found their seat in the barn filled with a mixture of round and long tables, each with vintage gold mirror table numbers. At the center of the reception was the wood head table with a long white fabric runner, blue vintage china, and the bride and groom sat on a vintage blue sofa with gold trim. All the tables had light blue linens, wood cross back chairs, and each place setting had a thank you note and an olive branch. The florals were a mix of blush and white flowers and were placed in gold vases to go along with the overall color scheme
As the night went on the guests danced the night away with music from Everlasting Sounds that kept everyone on the dance floor the entire evening. Rachel even brought some of the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders on the floor for a dance as a surprise for all the guests. When it was time to leave guests held sparklers as the bride and groom ran to their exit car. It was the perfect end to a beautiful and fun night!
Congratulations ya’ll!-Shannon
