A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting with the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth and got to tour the venue and hear all about its unique backstory and everything this Fort Worth wedding venue offers.
The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth's building was designed by the Japanese architect Tadao Ando and is located in Fort Worth's celebrated Cultural District, directly opposite the Kimbell Art Museum. The museum has tall transparent walls of glass framed in metal that surround the concrete envelope of the building. Its structural exterior creates stunning areas that allow guests to view the surrounding building, the large reflecting pond, outdoor sculpture, and the landscaped grounds. And while guests are eating, the bride and groom can even take some pictures among the museum's beautiful modern works of art and sculpture gardens. It is the perfect fit for the couple that is looking for a modern space to hold their wedding reception and is truly breathtaking!
THE MODERN ART MUSEUM OF FORT WORTH - MAIN LOBBY
As one walks through the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth’s front doors, you immediately enter the building’s main lobby that is one of the venue’s three wedding reception options, and it happens to be the largest option as well. It’s tall ceilings, large glass walls, and direct view of the large reflecting pond at the building's edge makes it seriously jaw dropping and creates a view that would seriously impress any guest. The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth’s main lobby’s large interior allows for much variety in the floor plan and can hold up to 250 guests with a dance floor.
THE MODERN ART MUSEUM OF FORT WORTH - CAFE MODERN
The Café Modern is even perfect for more intimate weddings of up 10 guests with a dance floor, but can also be used as part of the rental of the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth’s main lobby. When you walk into the Café Modern you are immediately drawn to its round glass exterior and the beautiful view of the large reflecting pond that comes to the building’s edge. It also features a large bar, that can be used to serve guests throughout the night, and it is the perfect space for an intimate wedding or even as an addition to the main lobby rental for larger weddings.
THE MODERN ART MUSEUM OF FORT WORTH - OUTDOOR TERRACE
The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth’s outside terrace is an option that can be added to the main lobby rental and is the perfect setting for a reception, cocktail hour, or a relaxing lounge area for guests. When you walk outside to this terrace you are surrounded by the large reflecting pond, and have the most beautiful view of the “Kissing Trees” sculpture by Roxy Paine. By using the terrace, main lobby, and cafe modern, you can fit up to 450 guests for an event.
