Guys today is the day I get to share the AMAZING outdoor fall Texas wedding with ya’ll, and I am soooooo excited! Not only was it great to work with such a sweet and kind couple, but it was even published in "Brides of North Texas Magazine" for their 2017 Spring/Summer issue!! (How exciting is that!?!) See the article and other published weddings here.
I first met with Alexa & her mother for brunch with her two grandparents, whose house they were planning on having the wedding at, and was excited to hear all about how they met and what she was envisioning for her big day! With only about five months to plan we had to hit the ground running especially with her large guest count of approximately 450 guests! (That’s right 450 guests lol!)
Since her dream was to have the wedding at her grandparents family home, the first thing on our list was for me to go the house and use my handy dandy laser to measure out the space. I then had to put it all in Autocad to confirm how many people we could fit inside and how large of an outdoor space we had as well. Not gonna lie it was a little challenging, but I love a challenge! And I came up with a couple of options to allow for the indoor and tented reception, and I have to say I think the event turned out AMAZING!
TEXAS FALL OUTDOOR WEDDING - CEREMONY
Alexa & Aaron’s wedding ceremony was on a large wooden dock on a beautiful pond just outside the main house. Large white lanterns with flowers lined the aisle, and floating candles on lilies surrounded the dock. The large apricot, burgundy, and blush archway was filled to the brim with flowers and created a stunning backdrop, while friends and family member were seated in a theater format to view the ceremony. We honestly couldn't have asked for a gorgeous setting!
After the ceremony as the couple took pictures, the guests ate Hors-d'oeuvres and signed and highlighted their favorite bible verse in their guest book.
TEXAS FALL INDOOR AND TENTED WEDDING - RECEPTION
The reception was held inside the living room of Alexa’s family home, and we also had a tent located just outside for guests to sit as well. As soon as guests walked to their seats, they found their seat in the room filled with long rectangle tables, each with a gold charger and burgundy napkin. At the front of the room was the wood head table with a tall floral garland on tall, thin gold stands, and each place setting had a personal pie for each of the wedding party to find their seat. The florals were a mix of apricot, blush, cream, and burgundy flowers and were placed in gold vases to go along with the overall color scheme
As the night went on the guests sat in the vintage lounge seating and listened to the band play throughout the evening. And just before it was time for the night to end guest watched and snuggled as they watched the beautiful firework show over the pond. When it was time to leave guests held sparklers as the bride and groom ran to their exit car. It was the perfect such a romantic and beautiful night that is for sure!
Congratulations ya’ll!-Shannon
