Dallas Scottish Rite Wedding | Texas Southern Wedding | Dallas Crystal Ballroom Wedding

Natalie & Zach’s wedding at Perkins Chapel & Dallas Scottish Rite’s Crystal Ballroom in Dallas, TX was such a fun event to plan and design! This Dallas wedding not only had plenty of southern style, but unique Texas elements incorporated throughout the wedding since it was held on Texas Independence Day. I LOVED this idea because I have always wanted to design a southern event with a Texas twist, and it was fun to show how you can still add unique touches to even the most classic wedding.

DALLAS SCOTTISH RITE - CEREMONY

Natalie & Zach’s ceremony was held at Perkins Chapel in Dallas TX. The altar was adorned with large lush floral arrangements on tall pedestals. The bridesmaids wore ice blue bridesmaid dresses and carried bridesmaid bouquets mixed with white and blush florals, while the groomsmen wore classic black tuxes.

After the ceremony, as the couple took pictures with their families, the guests headed to Dallas Scottish Rite Crystal Ballroom for cocktail hour where they found their tables at a large round table with folded escort cards placed in a circular pattern around a large floral arrangement in the center.

DALLAS SCOTTISH RITE - RECEPTION

Once we opened the doors to the ballroom, guests found their seat in the large Dallas Scottish Rite Crystal Ballroom filled with rectangle & round tables, each with vintage gold framed table numbers. The head table was placed in front of the dance floor and had a large floral runner, pillar candles, and blue escort cards with gold card holders personalized to each member of the wedding party. The guest tables had ivory linens, a mixture of tall and low floral centerpieces, custom menus, and glass gold beaded chargers.

As the night went on, guests danced the night away with music from the Royal Dukes Band (one of the couple’s must-haves!). That played on a 20ft mirrored white stage façade, which helped complete the dance floor by giving it the perfect classic touch that made it feel that it was a natural part of the Dallas Scottish Rite Crystal Ballroom. One of my favorite elements of the design was the Texas Table. It was filled with dark wood and white treys that held mini-pies with star designs on top, and wait for it…..BLUE BELL ice cream!! (You honestly can’t get more Texas than that!?! Am I right?!) Towards the end of the night, the couple wanted to keep the party going, but also help with the inevitable hangover after an epic event for guests, so the staff passed Whataburger taquitos on the dance floor (And yes you better believe we had Picante sauce ya'll!). And as the night came to a close, guests held sparklers and Texas Flags as the couple walked down Dallas Scottish Rite Crystal Ballroom’s iconic front stairs to their pedicab getaway vehicle, which sign on the back read “Texas Forever.” It was honestly such a FUN wedding, and I can't believe it has already been a few months since this big day (Time Flies!!)

Congratulations again!! :)-Shannon
