Maggie & Luke’s wedding at the Brooks at Weatherford was such a fun event to plan and design! This Fort Worth wedding not only had plenty of southern style, but lots of unique “farmhouse” design elements incorporated throughout the wedding since Maggie LOVED everything, Joanna Gaines.
I knew Maggie was the client for me at our initial consultation when we bonded over our love of queso & margaritas. I mean, what else do you need in life if you think about it right!?! She had already booked the Brooks at Weatherford, which is one of my favorite venues in Fort Worth & I loved hearing about her overall vision for her big day.
When we started finalizing the design, Maggie expressed how she wanted the wedding to feel romantic, rustic & a little boho. So since she already booked a rustic venue, we decided to make sure whatever design elements we incorporated were more romantic & “farmhouse-like”. We then decided on a burgundy color scheme, since she is an Aggie & it happened to be her favorite color, and we wanted to incorporate lots of organic floral elements which helped break up the wood in the main reception hall.
THE BROOKS AT WEATHERFORD WEDDING - CEREMONY
Maggie & Luke’s ceremony was held in Brooks at Weatherford’s white chapel. When it came to the overall ceremony design, I decided to keep it simple because the space itself is honestly breathtaking on its own. From it’s large windows & open-air design, you can hear the brook flow next to the pews & I did not want to take away from that. We choose to feature a large wooden cross with greenery at the altar, and each pew was adorned with greenery that helped line the aisle. The bridesmaids each wore neutral bridesmaid dresses and carried bridesmaid bouquets mixed with white and burgundy florals, while the groom wore a burgundy suit.
After the ceremony, as the couple took pictures with their families, the guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the patio and were greeted with passed hors d'oeuvres, a salsa bar, and the bride’s favorite margaritas.
The Brooks at Weatherford Wedding -Reception
Once we opened the doors to the Brooks at Weatherford ballroom guests, found their tables at a large white seating chart with wood float shelves. The reception had a mix of rectangle & round tables, and each with tables numbers with a black metal holder that made it easy for guests to find their seats. The head table was placed in front of the fireplace and had a large floral garland, red tapered candles, and burgundy hemstitched napkins with escort cards attached to each menu. The guest tables had ivory linens, a mixture of low floral centerpieces, custom menus, and modern gold silverware.
As the night went on, guests danced the night away with music from the Jason Esquire and enjoyed a dessert table that was filled with mini banana pudding jars on vintage trays. And when it was time for the night to end, we lite sparklers, as the bride and groom said goodbye to their guests. Congratulations again!! :)-Shannon
