I am so excited to share this styled shoot we planned and designed back in November and even more excited to see it on the Brides of North Texas Blog today! I was inspired for this shoot by Pinterest of all places. As I was browsing through Pinterest one day, I came across this long luxurious velvet dress, designed by Ralph Russo, and I knew it would be the perfect inspiration for my next styled shoot. I was not only inspired by its elegance and texture but also the striking color of the dress. Once I found out that the Pantone Color of the Year for 2017 was greenery I knew I had to do a shoot centered around the color and this velvet dress.
Aristide Mansfield was the perfect venue for the shoot. I loved the old world elegance of the venue as well as it's castle characteristics. We decided to shoot the table at the bottom of the stairs, that is also often used as a ceremony space at the Mansfield wedding venue. When it came to the color scheme, we used gold, white, and gray to break up the use of green, which helped create softness and elegance that stood out against the green tones.
The whiskey bar was a fun addition to the styled shoot and added a masculine touch to the overall shoot. How fun would this be for an actual wedding!?! I know in Texas guests would LOVE this idea! And we had so much fun styling this with the bride’s velvet green dress, that could also be used as a bridesmaid dress for a winter wedding. Overall I am so excited about this shoot and think it is the perfect inspiration for any greenery loving bride!
