Addison Grove Wedding | Candace & Beau | Austin Wedding

I am not going to lie; I always have had a soft spot for Texas-themed weddings. I guess it is safe to say I am a stereotypical Texas girl and love EVERYTHING Texas. I love Texas Country, I wore cowboy boots since the age of three and I literally eat Salsa with every meal. So when I met Candace & Beau at our consultation, I knew we were a match from the get-go.

When we initially sat down, to start discussing their overall vision, I knew I was going to have to be vigilant in making sure I was able to bring elements in the design that they both loved, while keeping it in line with romantic overall aesthetic. Candace leaned towards a boho style, and Beau was all rustic elements; however, we knew that we wanted the wedding to feel like a “Texas” getaway for guests. So as we started to discuss venue options, we concluded that Austin was the best location. And as searched Austin wedding venues, Addison Grove felt like the perfect fit. Not only did it have plenty of rustic features, but Addison Grove had a beautiful outdoor space that gave it that “Texas Getaway” overall feel, and we loved that it had plenty of light that filled the barn so it wouldn't feel too dark.

As we began to finalize the design, we decided that the venue itself was the only “rustic” element we needed to feature and chose to lean more on the idea of romantic boho design elements so it could feel like an even mix between the three aesthetics. As a result, we used loose yet lush florals with a more floral heavy style, which gave it a more romantic feel, while mixing in multiple boho elements that can be seen in the place settings, and even in the bride's accessories.

ADDISON GROVE WEDDING - CEREMONY

Candace and Beau’s ceremony was held at the Austin Venue's Grove adjacent to Addison Grove's pond with 150 of their family & friends under a canopy of live oak trees. The altar featured two large floral arrangements on wood pedestals, and organic flower arrangements lined the aisle as Candace walked to see Beau for the first time. In case guests got warm during the ceremony, the couple provided fans at the aisle entry to keep guests cool throughout the evening.

After the ceremony, as the couple took pictures with their families, the guests enjoyed a cocktail hour with beer donkeys! (SO FUN!!) and found their seats at a large seating chart that was made of diamond-shaped escort cards on a wood structure on Addison Grove’s patio.

ADDISON GROVE WEDDING - RECEPTION

As guests entered the reception, they found their seat in Addison Groves large barn that was filled with a mixture of long and round tables, each with an acrylic table number with a wood base. The head table was placed vertically to the dance floor right at the venue’s entry. It had multiple floral centerpieces that filled the table, white beaded chargers, wood plates, gold silverware, and sage green escort cards attached to menus on each place setting.

As the night went on, the guests enjoyed a dessert table that featured the couple favorite dessert and a wedding cake that had their dog as the topper. And when it was time for the night to end, guests through petals, as the bride and groom went into their getaway vehicle. It was a GREAT night and one I know that guests will always remember. Congratulations Ya’ll!-Shannon
